The St Mellion Resort Academy

At the St Mellion Resort Golf Academy, we believe that everyone can learn to play better golf and therefore enjoy the game more. In order to help our clients, who are both members and guests, we have developed a program of instruction that is easy to understand and effective for all levels of golfer.

Programs – The Resort Academy offers a wide range of programs, group lessons, performance plans and golf school packages. However on request we can tailor-make specific packages for individual clients or provide additional dates for our own programs and schools on request.

Facility – The practice facility recently underwent a complete renovation of its facilities. It now offers clients a; indoor swing analysis room, all-weather Huxley true strike turf, undercover bays, new out-field landscaping and a large practice putting green with separate short game area.

Club fitting - Having equipment that enhances your game with the right balance to the set make up is probably the biggest single improvement any player could make. Therefore the Resort Academy and its Professional staff are able to offer a complete and comprehensive club fitting service to ensure each client gets the right equipment to enhance their game.

Technology - The Vector Pro Launch System takes the guess-work out of golf club and ball fitting, and is one of the latest pieces of technology used in instruction and equipment selection. Utilising the Vector Pro to test your own equipment against some of the markets leading brands and fit options, enables each individual to find the correct clubs to optimise both distance and accuracy.

To aid with our swing coaching we employ the C-swing advanced video swing analysis program. It was designed to aid professionals with technique development, and provides clarity with club player instruction. Using powerful drawing and comparison tools coupled with being able to see your swing alongside the world’s best golfers gives immediate visual feed-back to simplify the learning process.
