Magnificent views of the Alps, quality of preparation, choice of technical requirements: these elements have earned the Jack Nicklaus course to be named as the best nine holes in Switzerland four times. Relatively short, it must be very precise with its never straight fairways and obstacles along the route. A challenge that is addressed both to the player through to experts.

Shortly after the end of the Second World War, the idea of creating a second term - to reduce the 18 holes overloaded - became ever more topical. The pitch proved Xirès then agree and since 1951, a 9 hole golf course acts as a complement of 18 holes of Plan-Bramois. Formed originally by a small narrow golf, 9 holes was completely transformed to become, at its reopening in July 1988, the "Jack Nicklaus".

In 1977 Crans appealed to a Jack Nicklaus excited by the prospect of achieving its first golf course in Switzerland. In May 1981, the contract between the American champion in the construction of the route was signed. It was not until four years to obtain all necessary permits to start work so that carried over 9 holes (6 on the site of the former little golf, 3 on neighboring land).
