Bay Creek Resort & Club is located in historic Cape Charles, on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. This unspoiled piece of property is named Bay Creek because it is literally between the Chesapeake Bay and Old Plantation Creek. Over 1700 acres contain numerous villages of residential housing, a world class marina, restaurants, shops, and of course, Bay Creek Golf Club.
Two signature courses, one by Jack Nicklaus (2005) and the other by Arnold Palmer (2001), are the centerpiece of the resort. Both courses offer championship caliber challenge with almost unmatched beauty. The Palmer Course is a traditional parkland style course set on the Chesapeake Bay. The Nicklaus Course features more links traits, with several unique holes on the Bay where Jack left the natural topography untouched.
"We left it alone. This is what was here," he said, as he played the opening round on the course in May of 2006. "If you wanted me to create holes - give me a less desirable piece of property inland, and that's what I would have done." As a result, the holes are indeed unique and challenging, with the natural dunes and grasses still remaining.
